LEGO Star Wars Echo Base (7749) was released in 2009 and recreates the Rebel Alliance’s frozen stronghold on Hoth from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. With 155 pieces, this retired set captures a small but action-packed section of the famous Battle of Hoth.

The set features a snow-covered Rebel defensive position, complete with a rotating turret, opening base entrance and other battlefield details. It also includes a Tauntaun, allowing fans to recreate the memorable scenes of Rebel forces patrolling the frozen landscape surrounding Echo Base.

One of the highlights of set 7749 is its excellent minifigure selection. It includes Han Solo in his Hoth outfit, two Rebel Snowtroopers and two Imperial Snowtroopers, providing both Rebel and Imperial forces for recreating battles on the icy planet.

The included Tauntaun adds particular appeal for collectors and makes the set an excellent companion to larger Hoth-themed models such as AT-ATs, Snowspeeders and other Echo Base sets.
