LEGO Star Wars X-Wing Fighter (7140) was released in 1999 as part of the very first wave of LEGO Star Wars sets. With 263 pieces, this vintage model recreates the Rebel Alliance’s legendary starfighter from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and represents an important piece of LEGO Star Wars history.

The X-Wing features the classic grey and red Rebel colour scheme, an opening cockpit and the unmistakable four-wing design. Its S-foils can be opened into attack position, recreating the appearance of the starfighters during the assault on the Death Star. The model also features four wing-mounted laser cannons and space behind the cockpit for an astromech droid.

Set 7140 includes Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Biggs Darklighter and a Rebel Mechanic, providing an excellent selection of early LEGO Star Wars characters. A small maintenance and transport vehicle is also included, helping recreate scenes from the Rebel base on Yavin 4.

As one of the original LEGO Star Wars releases, 7140 showcases the simple and distinctive design style that launched what would become one of LEGO’s most successful themes.
